Watercolour Bokeh take two

Morning guys !!

Yesterdays laugh of the day, but a sad sign of the times was me setting off Tesco's alarm with a jar of HONEY !! Yes my Manuka honey which is for my dogs had a security label which didn't clear when I paid for it. Did you know that the meat also is security protected ?? Sad but true.....;'s my second attempt at a Bokeh background.

This time using fresh bright oranges and yellows and the sweet Little Claire Silhouette Cats which you can find HERE.  The sentiment is again from a Doo Lally Pip set .

And here's my card from yesterdays post.   Two different backgrounds and one technique, give it a try and see what you can come up with !!

Hope you all have a fabulous day...

hugs Diane xx

Watercolour Bokeh

Hope your now going " what on earth is that "  like I did !!

Well its a fab fun, but messy technique you can do to make backgrounds !!  You'll find loads of great tutorials on You Tube if you want to have a go.

So here's my first attempt which I love...

I've done this one in lovely spring colours.  Sadly the Little Claire Silhouette Dog stamps are not available at the moment, but the cat ones are and I'll show you another card using them tomorrow.  The dogs work so well with the Doo Lally Pip large sentiment stamp !!

What'd you think then .....

March Flowers !!

Wowee here we are 1st March already guys !!  The old saying "time waits for no man" is soooo true and it doesn't wait for any crafter either !!

So being the beginning of a new month means a new Little Claire Club Stamp Set and it's called "March Flowers" !!  Such a pretty set of three flower squares which can stand alone or work together !!

How about this card to brighten up a wet day using just one of the squares and greetings !!  The paper is by Stampin Up,  did loads of matt and layering,  faux stitching and finished off with buttons and bows coloured in using spectrum noir pens.

 March Flowers stamp set

Now my next card uses all three squares together and one I have made using one of the sentiments.

You can't see very well,  but I have stamped,  coloured and decoupaged all the flower squares even the dandelion clock !!  How's that for fussy cutting !!  Each square has been raised using 3d foam tape as well.

A really pretty set with so many uses....

I've just added a pricked faux stitching border and coloured with my Spectrum Noirs and then a bit of glossy accents on the teapots.

Ooooh lemons !!

Well we survived yesterday....high winds and heavy rain all afternoon !!  It was horrible, even my two dogs kept their legs crossed and didn't want to go out in it !!  One thing, you never feel bad sitting crafting on a day like that.....

Time for a mid- reminder for House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge which is "Friends"

Loads of fab prizes to be won so check it out now !!

This card just makes me smile ....look at that poor little guys face . It makes me suck my lips in just thinking about it !!  Does anyone know if mice do eat lemons ??

The papers are from a collection pack called "Family Ties" by Pebbles and I just love the colours. Fussy cut out some of the flowers from the papers to embellish adding a few jems, loads of distressed edges, pearls and ribbon and stamped my own sentiment using a fab alphabet set by Amazing Creations called "Complete Swirly Alphabet". Coloured in with my Spectrum Noirs.

Bunting !!

I have had great fun creating this "Get Well Soon" card using Little Claires "Bunting" set. It's very simple to make....

I just inked a piece of white card to make my cloud background, then mounted it onto a 6" x 6" card blank, cut a few strips of white card to make the fence inking all the edges, cut a piece of green paper to look like grass and then went to town stamping and colouring, fussy cutting my banner out, threading it onto a piece of twine, all finished off with a die cut bird which I coloured to look like a robin !!
Now the fun thing with this alphabet set is you can spell out anything you like....
