Hero Arts Catalogue

Some of you girls might be thinking "Why on earth buy a Hero Arts catalogue" Well as you know I love Hero Art stamps and their designs. Hero Art catalogues are full of inspiring card designs for you to follow or take ideas from as you please. I have just made two of their design cards from the 2009 book.

This is why its a good idea to buy a catalogue.....

Christmas stall today at last !!

Well at last the day had arrived for my stall at "Hearing Dogs For The Deaf" Christmas bazzar. Everyone at AMOM must have been fed up with seeing the stuff I have been making !! A great day it was with friends Carolyn, Ann, Carol and Jan popping in to see me and supporting hearing dogs. I had a slow start and then everything took off and I sold out of alot of items making £207 profit this year !! FAB !! If your a dog lover, then this is a day for you.

Here is my stall at the start and end of the day. It looks a bit cluttered as I had a job fitting everything in, but a bit empty at the end of the day. Its my friend Val in the last photo who came along to enjoy the day and help me.

Not much left at the end of the day !!

Fab Day !!

Last Saturday was FAB !! Lindsay Mason bombarded us with so many inspiring ideas and demos it was hard to keep up and I couldn`t wait to have a play !! The "Make and Take" fairy card was lovely and everyone the ladies made was different. The day was hectic with all the ladies coming and going doing the make and takes and just watching Lindsay working.A joy to watch....

Lindsay about to start a demo.

Lindsay beautiful owl card.

This first card is the fairy "Make and Take" card we did with Lindsay using inks and then the others are cards I made later. The snowman card is very clever...you just use distessed inks to make a background and the use plain old water to paint in the snowman and tress and moon to lift out the colour !!

This is Lindsay blowing a blob of ink to make her tree for the lovely owl card. You`ll see a lovely one of me doing the same for my card below on The Maze of Memories website. The first card is my attempt of the tree and owl and the second one was an example Lindsay did to show how to do the tree and I finished it off with a background and owl.

"12 days " a copy and paste Christmas

I`m doing the "12 days" a copy and paste christmas class (link blinkie in side bar ) and we have been asked fill in these questions to give a bit of insight to our fellow students just for fun !!

1.
It would be amazing if my house really was a shop like ...A Maze of Memories, my local craft centre !!.............................
2.
But at the moment it's probably more like ..a junk shop..............................................
3.
The best-stocked area of my house has got to be ...the dining room which is my crafting room.................................................
4.
But I'm not sure I would dare do a stock-take of my ....stash as there is far too much of it !!......................................
5. I could actually open my doors right now and sell off most of my .....stash come junk..................................... and I'd still have plenty left!
6. If I could go shopping in someone else's house I'd choose ...my friend Jan`s as she is a lovely crafter like me !!.................................
7. With the money I'll save by shopping at home for my supplies, I could buy ...yet more stash !!.......................
8.
During this class I hope I will get to 'buy' / revisit / finally get to use my stock of ..stash come junk and make something nice out of it !!........................
9.
The best thing about shopping at home will be .....de-cluttering..........................................
10.
Shopping at home will mean I can get away with wearing ..my old hairy dog clothes.................................... which I'd never dare go 'real life' shopping in!

Saturday 30th Oct

Last Saturday at AMOM, we had a lovely class in the morning called "Autumn Splendour". It was great layout using Basic Grey Pyrus and we even used bleach on it.......to lift out the colour of the owls tums.As usual I made a little card with the leftover bits.

In the afternoon was another fab class called "Mushroom Magic" and made four cards using different techniques with distress inks.I also made a tag and bookmark with leftover bits. You can also use the mushroom stamps by Woodware for Christmas cards as I found out!!

Who said mushrooms are just for Autumn, what about Christmas !!

This is the stash busters template from last Saturday, which I did my Chocky LO from
