Beautiful You

Had a lovely afternoon yesterday catching up over tea and cake with my sweet friend Nicki and her hubby Kurt and super sweet baby Ellie,  but boy driving home in heavy rain and flooding was horrible !!

Anyhoo.....a while back I was very lucky and won a Stampin Up twin stamp set called "Beautiful You" on their face book page and had to have a play with them straight away...

Some of the cards I have just used coloured inks and stamped, others I have water coloured and a couple paper pieced. I had so much fun making these cards and the sentiments are fab !!

All the time I was making these cards I was sure Nicki would love them, very her so I gave them as a small gift yesterday.....she is such a sweetheart.

Happy

After looking a blank white canvas's for so long, I decided to grab the bull by the horns and do one !!

And I am really happy with the end result and really enjoyed it.

I started by colouring the background with Tim Holyz crayons and full on bright colours as I adore colour, then used stencils with inks. Punches pattern papers for the flower and happy adding faux stitching all round. Drew a face , added some more words and faux stitching and a few pearls.

It won't be every ones cup of tea, but it is mine and very me...

Recycle/Re-use

Time for another House Mouse and Friends challenge and the theme is

Recycle/Re-use

I went a bit shabby chic with this one using some cardboard from packing and scraps of pattern papers.

I adore HMD "Daisy Float" stamp is peaceful.....

To make my background I have use, cardboard and torn papers then went over with some gesso. Then added lace, bling ribbon, die cut dream and leaves. made the roses from torn cardboard and papers.

Stamped "Daisy Float" onto water coloured card and water coloured with distress inks. Edged with pearls and mounted onto a doily

There is a super prize up for grabs from our hostess Beth so hop over and check that out !!

Triple heart...

easel card !!

I really had fun making this card !!  I cut some smaller hearts to fit the centres and then had fun embossing them with frantage and then stamping into it. Added loads of lace, a few punched butterflies, a bit of blue twine and the sentiment.

The base card isn't hard to make as you will see from the photo's and there is sooooooo many ways you could decorate it !!

One sheet is plenty...

..so he says.....

Anyhoo, how are we all then after the Christmas hols and New Year parties ??  Back into the old routine then, well I am !!

Thought I would share some Thank You cards made using a sheet of A4 card.

I coloured my A4 sheet with distress inks then stamped some script and swirls on top.

This is the way I cut the card into pieces. You can find many different ways to cut your A4 sheet up on Pinterest.

I used one of the triangle pieces to punch some butterflies out and matching coloured card for the hearts and flowers adding some pearls and lace with sentiment stamps to finish my cards.

There...one sheet is really plenty !!
